Ever had a dream that seemed to come true? Explore the science of precognitive dreaming and learn techniques on how to tap into your psychic abilities.

Prophetic dreams have been recorded throughout history, some by famous names such as Tuthmosis IV, an Egyptian Pharaoh; President Abraham Lincoln; and Edgar Cayce, "The Sleeping Prophet." Can dreams really predict the future? History and science have proved that the ability to sense or glimpse the future does exist, but they have yet to discover the how and why.

The Brain and Precognition

One of the problems science has encountered in trying to find proof that precognitive ability truly exists, is that in order to predict the future, one must somehow defy the concept of linear time. Albert Einstein theorized that the past, present, and future are all an illusion.

To understand this, one must also understand how the human brain works. The conscious mind seeks to compartmentalize information in a never-ending quest to have things in their nice, neat place. The subconscious mind, however, realizes that there are no boundaries, and reaches past the illusion of confinement and time.

Brain scans show that premonitions manifest from the portion of the brain that controls emotions. In someone more developed, the visual cortex may also become engaged and a person can receive more details of the vision. Recent studies have shown that creative individuals display higher accuracy rates in precognitive tests.

Frequency and Resonance

Some humans and animals are able to sense an earthquake before it happens. Scientists believe that the shifting of the Earth’s plates creates a frequency that the brain may sometimes be able to detect. The Earth normally resonates at a frequency of about 7.83 hertz. Someone in tune with the frequency could sense a disruption.

It’s the frequency theory that may hold the key. During sleep, the subconscious, now free of the clutter of an active mind, can harness the emotional and intuitive portions of the brain and "tune in" to other frequencies. Could time have a frequency as well?

According to an article in Time: Exploring the Unexplained, studies suggest that people who regularly participate in mental disciplines such as meditation and yoga, also score highly on precognitive tests, much like the creative group mentioned earlier. Learning to free the mind of ‘noise’ seems to be a large part of harmonizing the psychic frequencies.

Psychic Dreams

So why do precognitive dreams happen? Perhaps it is part of the survival mechanism that seeks to warn of events yet to occur. There are many accounts of people making last-minute travel changes due to a warning received in a dream, but there are also accounts of dreams foretelling unavoidable accidents as well.

Can precognitive dreams be triggered? Perhaps, through the practice of lucid dreaming, they can. Lucid dreaming is a technique where the dreamer is aware that they are in a dream. Once aware, it may be possible to control the direction of information within the dream.

So how can one tell if a dream is ordinary or extraordinary? Repetitive dreams, extremely detailed dreams, or sometimes the visualizations of a clock or calendar within the dream have been reported by persons who have had precognitive dreams.

How can you have one? Keep a dream journal and record vivid or startling dreams that you may have. Pay particular attention to your feelings as you go over the details. Try to pin down any clues that may determine when a dream is precognitive in nature. And get plenty of sleep.

For more information on clinical psychic studies, see Psychological Bulletin 1994, Vol. 115, No. 1, 4-18.

I had a dream that it was going to happen and it sure did just like it happened and other things such as seeing spirits, hearing things and persiving things before they happen and of course dreaming things before they actually happen.I would like friends out there that understand what it is that I'm going through. Please I would like it very much If anyone out there would email me and let me know what they think about this and ways that I can further develope my gift.

I dream dreams.......... I know that the dreams will happen, when I wake up they are vivid and real... I can tell if the dream is just simply that, or if it is real... I have been doing this since childhood.... Unfortuanltely, I only see the things taht will make my life more difficult, rather that the happy things that are to come... Only once did I see the good.... I wish I saw that more often, and not just the troubling. I thought it was crazy, and did not tell anyone, but, finally I started just telling hubby what I dreamed, then, pretty soon, he caught on.... Didn't want him to think I was weird, so I let him find it himself.... Also, my mom dreams too... Wonder if it is passed down??? My 5 year old daughter has been telling me about her dreams also.... She dreams something, and low and behold, it is true... Just like when I was a child...

Good day, let's see.........where to begin? So my stepbrother taught myself and his brother "how to fly in your dream" when we were kids. Of course the instruction was quite simply to tell yourself, "I'm dreaming!" during one's dream. That was a long time ago. Somewhere in my mid 20's, I began to notice a direct correlation between real events, objects, ideas and scenarios that crossed my path the morning/day after having just previously dreamed of said. Well, just the year before a co-worker had introduced me to horse track wagering.......naturally.....My first preliminary "dry-fire" tests produced an amazing 6 out of 6 correct picks across the next several months. The 7th was completely wrong, but I hadn't gone to the track yet. I was only checking the local newspaper sports page race card line-up, and then circling my pick. I determined my target to be : Winner at 10/1 odds or better. That was the pre-sleep auto-suggestion that I gave after relaxing my body, quieting my mind, and then just going to sleep. OF COURSE, dreaming with intent is greatly facilitated by keeping a dream journal. Unfortunately, by the time that I actually had cash to implement my evil plan, my beginner's luck and newfound oneiromancy ability had run out of gas. However, about 1991 I had the supreme good fortune to move to Chicago for half a year. I was living 15 minutes (curb to curb) from Arlington International Racecourse! Since I did IN FACT cash several winning tickets (always aiming for trifectas and exactas now), by technical definition that makes me a professional. Unfortunately, I wasn't born with any inner discipline and quickly spent the money. Mostly on beer, dinners, cabs, etc. though many wrong interpretations of dreams, near misses and dead wrong wagers, and ran out of stake. Churchill Downs was good for a few free rides when I lived in KY. Thought I was completely unique (and consequently alone) until in 2003 when I Googled up an article about a John Godley (British chap) who had an amazing series of very accurate precognitive horse race dreams. Also found a book by J.W. Dunne, An Experiment with Time , @ 1927. "What one man can do, another man CAN do!" Too bad MO doesn"t have internet wagering......cptslacker, out!

Let's see, where was I? Oh yeah, recommended readings: An obscure book by the Marquis de Herve de St. Denys (probably misspelled that) Dreams and How to Guide Them. Not very lengthy, excellent analysis and instruction. Long before the term - "Lucid Dreaming", the author called cognizant awareness during a dream - "I was aware of my true situation". Seems I recall mention that Sigmund Freud was "Unable to obtain a copy". How suspiciously convenient for him to not have to defend his own convoluted theories about the fundamental nature of dreams. I have personally corroborated most of the author's extensive experience working with dreams. Hard to find the book (out of print since @ 1980), more than worth the effort! And again, so is the book by J.W. Dunne, An Experiment With Time. Many parts are difficult to read when the author (an engineer) spends pages on complex physics theories and Venn diagrams to explain what, in his own experience he calls, "a regression in time". That is: when one has a dream of an event BEFORE the event happens. However, he was able to create a formal experiment wherein he showed that fairly anyone can be trained to have at least some success at dreaming of something out of time sequence. Especially, the author took care to disregard from test scores what is now called "tolerance of ambiguity".

Hi Leticia. I have had a few experiences similar to what you mentioned - seeing a future event, but that came after consciously directing my subjective mind for a specific dream (auto-suggestion). Clarevoyance and clareaudience are faculties of the human mind. I would love to communicate with you and share our knowledge.
Please leave your email add.
Thanks

Richard Ackerman, wow, i testify to everything you said. Just last weekend i used pre-sleep auto suggestion, wanting to know the results of 4 football matches being played (not scores, just win-draw-lose for each team). I had a very vivid dream in which someone was revealing the results to me, three of the teams won, and one drew. It happened exactly like that last weekend, in the English Premier League. Arsenal won, Liverpool won, Man United won, and Chelsea drew!!
I used to misinterpret many dreams too, but now i include in my suggestion that when the answer comes i will know it undoubtably, as in the dream i mentioned above. If it's not clear, then i don't take it as an answer. I don't bet though, but it wouldn't hurt on one of those 80/1 scorecasts!!
Thanks anyway for the recommended reading.....

My name is jessica and I am 19 years old. Over the past couple years I have had weird experiences with dreams. The first one being when I was about 15 a good friend of mine ran away from home for about a month and I had been really worried about him because no one knew where he was. Then one night I had a dream he came to see me, and he gave me a hug and the hug felt real. The next day he returned home. This has happened several times with him since.
Another time I had a dream that a couple friends of mine were running around my school looking for something. The next day when I went to school, one of my friends who had been in the dream came up to me and was like "oh man, last night I had this weird dream that you were in." Then proceeded to tell me about the same exact dream I had.
The most recent one though, was about a week before I was planning on going to a concert I was really excited for. In my dream my one friend richie showed up at the concert with short hair, and we ended up going to some persons house I had never met before to hang out.
The next morning I was telling my friend about the dream I had, and he said the second he read what I had wrote he got chills. Apparently while I was having my dream, in a city a couple hours away from where I was my friend richie was telling my other friend that he wanted to cut his hair really short for the concert[he had long hair at the time] and a friend of my friend had told him that night that we could hang out at his apartment until the train started running in the morning.
For the most part I shrug these off as funny coincidences, but I still can't help being weirded out and wondering at what point does it stop just being a coincidence?

There is no such thing as coincidences my dear. I will leave out all technical details as to how and why, besides you can find all that on the net, but instead of wanting it to stop, why don't you revel in it!! Now you should try directing your dreams and ask questions etc. Best wishes to you....

Hi guys! My name is Mia and I'm 15. Yeah, I know that I'm a little on the young side but I do have precognitive dreams... and sometimes I see things even when I'm awake. I.E. I always seem to grab my cellphone right before it rings or I get a text message. I've had quite a few dreams about the future. It's always little things like someone I haven't seen in a while showing up or a slight change in school plans or something like that. But I want to know more about my abilities... can anyone help?

So, I've been interested in dream interpretation - symbolism and what not for years. However, I never paid too much attention to my dreams regarding premonitions. I recently became pregnant and my dreams became short and distinct. I knew 100%, from my dreams, early on that I was having a boy. I told all who would listen. I am having a boy. I was convinced that my sister-in-law was having a girl (they wanted to be suprised). Last night I had a dream that she had a boy. I called my brother, left a message. Tonight, she gave birth to a boy. Now, I realize that I have a 50/50 chance on this, but I would have put money on it as the feelings left no doubts in my mind. Both of my father's grandmothers claimed to be psychic.

Are premonitions psychic impressions of future events, or, could they be the sum of our subconscious evaluations based on intuition and stored information?

I am currently trying to develop an accuracy scale for precognition and attempting to locate a possible mechanism for the events recorded. The scale runs from 1 to 5, with 1 being a 'feeling' about something, and 5 being 'like watching a video before it was shot'. Having had several level 5 events (for one of which I have documented evidence), I am naturally interested in the subject, and would be very interested in a possible mechanism for them. At present, the events are uncontrolled and random, and there is no way to distinguish an event until the actual event occurs. Remembering the future is a difficult subject to explain, let alone to find a mechanism for.
I would be very grateful if anyone who leaves a future message would rank the accuracy of their predictions from 1 to 5 and explain why they chose that rank.

I recently had what can only be described as a level 5 dream. As in like watching a video. This has never happened to me before. The dream involved a certain person performing certain unusual actions, details of a conversation with that person and the location/venue. This wasn't anything particularly important or life threatening to anyone, however it has changed me from a highly sceptical person into someone a little freaked out. Contact with some one such as F Ivatt, or anyone who is not a fraud/weirdo would be welcome. Anon

On the morning of 03-09-09 I woke after a very vivid dream, not the first time i have had one. My dream was that I had played a number on the ohio lottery pick 4, And had won, but I knew that I had only won on a any-order type ($400) instead of exact-order type ($5000). I told my wife and 4 co-workers about the dream and the number I won on:1215 , They all listened and one of the 5 people played the number that night, I played the number for the week, changing the order of the numbers each day. On the evening of 03-12-09 the ohio winning number was 5211....I did win! not exact-order. Is there a special type of Precognition dreams for numbers? I have always loved working with numbers and statistics and have spent many hours on lottery computer programs. Could my brain be extra receptive to freq's with math involved? can I tune/prep myself for better numbers reception?

Hello My name is daaniel and i am 14 years old I had a dream a few days ago and it was so vivid and real. It was about three meteors or comets or astriods about to collide with earth and there will be tiny showers hitting earth and my family will die but i will be the only person to survive on my street. I am afraid because i belive that this is tied to 12/21/2012. I am not sure what to do or should i go to a psychic or tell my parents. I also specifically remember a dream when i was in either the 1st or 2nd grade. My dream was about me cutting out a picture of a Nutcracker soldier and it happened 1 or 2 days later. I am only thinking of these dreams now an i Dont know if i need help or what but can someone tell what to do.

No, this isn't a trailer for HEROES. LOL. Go back and read the instructions, i.e. the book by J.W. Dunne - An Experiment with Time. It's kinda techy at times, but mostly accurate assessment. Oh, and to the confused youngster, yeah, nobody likes to think of themselves as a freak.

hey i'm paul. i'm 14 and i can see the future in my dreams. usually there is no volume but recently i have started hearing background noises. i don't know when i relized my talent. i am trying to learn to control it but i don't know how. also the dreams are usually in black and white. during the dream its like im there, at that time but when i wake up i don't remember the dream until it happens. when they happened i used to get a sense of dejavu, but now that does not happen and i must remember the dream by myself. the dreams are never anything important, just random moments in my future. these dreams seem to happen randomly but i'm not sure if that is truly the case. since i don't remember the dreams until they happen i have not found a way to catalouge the dreams. i only dream things that happen to me. i have nevr dreamt something that will happen to another. send your questions about my ability to pgd5000@yahoo.com. i will do my best to answer them.

Hi I just came accross this site. basically i have always found all of these things very interesting; i'm very much open minded. I too, have know what the sex of my babies were before confirmed by dr. I have dreamed about 1yr prior to my sister, brothers' wives getting pregnant i told them they were having boys or girls. One time in a moment of crisis, I even called my sister on a phone that was disconnected and when everyone in the room looked at me wierd, they told me that there was no service on the phone. I have a fairly amount of dajavu with certain situations. Sometimes i think about a certain person and then the phone rings and it's them. i would like to know how to enhance, and control jm2001pta@yahoo.com

Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a precognitive dream and just a typical dream with your subconscious talking to you? I have had 3 dreams the last 3 months which did come true (or I was able to avoid having them come true. They weren't exact like a deja vu but it was definitely a tale of the future). A few nights ago I had a dream that was extremely vivid.... I was honestly SHOCKED when I woke up because I didn't think it was a dream (many times I just simple wake from a dream... its no problem... but this seemed way too real). And then of course I was depressed because it was a fantastic outcome to a situation I've been struggling with. =P But has anyone found a way to tell the difference?

Ok here goes... my names Keith ive had so many different things iv seen and experienced. I guess the earliest i can remember anything happening was when i was 9. Though a lot of my child hood has blank spots. Though since i was around 17 and 18 is when the strongest things started. Im now 29 so been a good ten years going with everything.
I have prerogative abilities i know that. The way it seems to go with me is i dream things then it could be 2 days or 10 years later till then pop back out. You see then come i dreams but not in points where i can write them down when i wake. Instead at about 3 minutes to 15 seconds before i remember the dream and what day i had them. i see everything that is to happen what i am to think before hand, and what others will do or say. The way i explain it is like your reading a book and watching tv at the same time. to events going on at once. I have no power over it, it comes a goes. Some times ill get them all the time and others now for almost a year.
Now here lately ive been doing something i havent since i was a child, my mom said she us to ketch me staring off into space for 2 to 10 minutes at a time. I didnt remember them. Its a like a blank time in my memory, i dont ever realize what is going on. Well ive been doing them again, havnt done them since i was a child. I dont know if its related, and the things i see make me feel like im going crazy.
So i guess with all this im just trying to find others like me, i normally go to my writings and stories i write to try and deal with it but its not helping. So if there are others that might be able to help or understand what i mean and maybe feel id love to know.

When I have a precognitive dream, it's a feeling I can't shake off after I wake up. The feeling of foreboding trouble, warning me of impending dangers coming my way. At one time these dreams only dealt with situations in my life, until I dreamed on a national scale, as in my dream of 9-11, four years before it happened. Then there was the dream of a chain of explosions, turning it pitch black or the dream of the red sky on fire. Could these events be in our near future or can we avert them with our collective thoughts and choices we make or will they be a horror for us yet to live?

I've been having precognitive dreams since I was about 6 or 7. They're usually something silly, like my mom and I having a conversation about nothing in particular, or getting ready to go somewhere, then months (or even years) later the dream comes true. The biggest problem I've always had is the time frame. Things never happen within a few weeks of the dream. The shortest span I've seen is about 3 months. The longest was about 4 years. How can I become more attune with the time frame of my precognitive dreams? If anyone has any suggestions or literature to suggest, please e-mail me at blueblazingstar@hotmail.com with "Precognitive Dreams" in the subject line. Thank you!

Hi I’m 37 years old. I had my first dream about a future event when I was 18 but not that I knew it at the time. It was my last night at home before moving away to go to university. I was wondering before I went to sleep where I'd be in ten years and who I'd be married to. That night I dreamt about a Japanese girl with a white face. I remember waking up thinking it was the wrong answer and thought nothing more as I was the typical racist 'japs' type of person (yes ashamedly young stupid and arrogant back then). After uni I got offered a position in Japan and later married a Japanese girl when I was 29. At first I used to think I had dejavu at times, it was an unusual feeling, like 'im sure this has happened'. In my early thirty's I had a dejavu situation again but on this occasion I also remembered the dream Id had about it. I dismissed it at first because I’m quite a science'y type of person but since then its happened too many times to ignore. I was surprised when I searched the net to find people talking about it. Really makes me wonder about the nature of the universe.

my name is monica, im 18 years old and have been having precognitive dreams since i can remember. i tend to dream normal day to day things such as me walking down the street, sitting in classes, talking to friends and even on the bus. every now and then i dream about random things that i never believed i would do and surly enough months later i was doing it. a couple months ago i had such a funny and explict dream over on of my highschool teachers that my friends constantly make fun of and now i cant even look at him the same way.
i also have other gifts such as picking up the phone before it rings, and many times i think about the person before the call me. and when it comes to people im really intune with in a relationship i can tell what they are doing or where they are. an example is when my exbf was attacked at 3 am and i knew it happened. very rarely i can also tell the "future" such as when my mom was scared she would lose her job and i told her that she wouldnt and not only that she would get a raise.

Hi my name is Kristen, I am 14 and this has happened to me many times before. It's really basic things that I will dream. I first noticed this when I dreamed about meeting some movie stars before there up comming movie came out. A few days later the movie stars I dreamed about where comming to a mall. The next one happen when I was going to a play with my school and I found out who I was going to sit next to, my teacher. The day of the play, they told us ou seats, and I found out that I was going to sit right next to my teacher. When Finals came, I dreamed that I as going to get a B and an A- and an A+ on them. The day before break, they past out our final grades, and I got the grades that I dreamed about. I had a dream when I was little, that my mom went to the doctor to check to see if shes okay, and she came back in a coffine. A few years later, she went to the doctors, came back, and said that she had cancer.Another one is that, before 5th grade, I had a dream that a robber came into my house and had a gun, we had just walked from a College football game, and he was there, standing in the hallway, and in one hand jewlary and the other, the gun, and then I woke up. When 6th grade came, i had forgotten the dream, my mom and I went to a football game, a college one, and came back very late. When I when to go put my foam finger in my room, I had noticed my monet was gone, and then my mom screamed, I ran to her, her jewlary box was open, and her jade ring that her great grandma gave her was gone and so was a bunch of gold. I'm just glad that no one was in the house at the time. Some of my dreams are scary, how do I make them stop? Some of them I dont want to stop, like the good ones. Is this strange seeing the future?

My mother had visions in an awake state. She'd be stopped at a stop sign, look up at a building, and it might change... She once saw a building in winter, on fire, yet covered in ice. The next day a newspaper article mentioned that the pipes in that building had frozen and burst, causing an electrical fire. She had these visions regularly. This was an abandoned building, by the way. She was not compelled into action.

My name is Megan, I'm 13 and I've been having precognitive dreams since I was in 4th grade. But they're never anything important or serious, just silly, like someone walking behind me, or having a test. My first deam was in the 4th grade. I dreamed that I would be working on a math assignment and someone in my class would walk behind me. This dream did not come true until a year later, in 5th grade. The most recent one was last year. I had a dream that I looked up at the date that was on the board so I could write it on my science test. Sure enough, the next week it happened.

My name is Sarah, I am 14. I have been having precognitive dreams since who knows when. My mum, her mum, and her mum. All have thease dreams. I was on the set of a movie one time it was really late 4 in the mornig to be exact we lived out of state from all of our family and all of the sudden my mum and I broke out in chills. When we finally went to bed it was close to 8 in the morning when I woke up my mum said that she felt as if some one we loved wasnt around any more. My father and brother were at church when my mum got a call saying my youngust and only girl cousin had been hot in a hunting accient. My mum just about freaked she told me thats what she had dreamed but she didnt rember her dream until she heard that message. Maybe thats when it all started for me but I would dream just clips of my life I guess I have dreamed things that happend to me when I was a baby. I went with my parents to drop off my grandparents at the airport and I knew once we sat down that my grandpa was going to giveme exactly 120 dollars and lo and behold he did exactly all in 20 dollar bills just like my dream. This happens about once a month. I never rember the dreams for more than a day then they are simply forgotten but once they come true a chill runs through my body and I shake just once and I know immediatly that this was drempt. Some times thease come true that week but others dont come true for years. I do have the normal dreams where its like your awake and watching yourself. I have a recurring dream where I dream I am being kidnapped I know the address the house the man his wif eeven where the ball is in their back yard. What are the chances of thease dreams coming true I do not know. But I am certainly freaked out. I feel differnt from ost people I guess you would say I find fun in sitting and staring at the texture of the wall or the roof. I never sleep at night very rairly am I asleep before 5 or 6 in the morning thank goodness I am home schooled I sleep half the day. I just dont find this to be normal and I just want to hone in on this talent I guess that is what I would call it because this has never happend to my friends. How does my mind know this stuff is going to happen? I am very sientific and I do not like not knowing how this works I have researched it but to no avail have i truly found any explanation. I want to know if there is a way to access the subconsious mind and use it to help in school work and life. if you can awnser my questions please email me reigningprincesssarah@yahoo.com

i dont normally have dreams but when i do they seem to mean something. one time i had a dream about my brother screaming but i woke up before i found out why. 2 or 3 days later my brother was riding his bike and he fell in the pool. he was very tiny so when he fell in his bike fell on top of him and he started to drown. the scream was exactly the same as it was in my dream. i had to jump in and get his bike off of him. if i wouldnt have had that dream i wouldnt have been worried about him and probably would have been in the house and my dad would have saved him. i also had another dream after if ound out about my dads new girlfriend. i saw a house in my dream. the house was old and big but it was kinda pretty but their was this room. this big concrete room and i could tell that something very bad happened in there. it hasent came true yet but im prepared in case it does.

Hi my name is Cindy
I have had dreams of people I do not know and later I meet or see them. I also had a dream I was in an accident and a month later I was in a bad car accident just like my dream. I also have dreams of jobs before I work there. It started out when I was young I would have a lot of bad dreams so I wanted to try to control them , or make them go away. I was able after a while to control the situations that would occur in my dreams or completly change the dream it self. This also help me to learn how to fly in my dreams because it helped me to fly away from the bad guys in my nightmares. I had a dream that my friend was going to get into a fight with a man, I describe him to her and the dream in detail. It was a few months later she did get into a fight with a drunk man at a concert we were at and he was the man in my dream that neiter of us had never meet before in our lives. You should try ever time you go to sleep to concentrate on your want to be in control of your dreams and also working on knowing when your in a dream state and this will help in having control in your dreams.

My name is Lunora, and i'm seventeen years of age. I recently had a dream of a few people, as well as myself, being killed in my school. I know it's pretty morbid, but the last time i felt such emotions from a dream, my great grandmother - whom i was extremely close to, passed away. i'm not sure if i should tell those who were in my dreams, but i know that i shouldn't do nothing... If someone could help me, i'd greatly appreciate it.

Hi I'm Rob. I've been having dreams since I was about 6 years old. Its usually just random people I've never met or conversations that i'll have with people. But it seems that the older I get & more I sleep (I have ALOT of trouble sleeping) things seem to be hapening. It use to be a few weeks or months before it would happen but in the last few years I've seen events (holidays, work days, just being with friends) days or even hours prior & to there happening. I still gets the ones that happen a longer time down the road as well but not as often. I've seen a lot of bad things happen to myself with no surprise (my ex who lives nowhere near me) but also some good (i dreamed my niece a year before her birth). But I've found that there are some bad things that can be changed by your own personal decisions. I sadly had a dream of myself that seemed to last for years in which I had & lost someone special to me. By refusing to meet someone else this event has not & can not happen (i know its a double edged sword in a way). This is my first time talking about & looking into this. I hope what I've said may help others accept that they have a gift & can change some things.

Hello! I'm Martha and yeah I'm 16. About a year ago I have been having precognitive dreams. At first I had them like twice a week but now I'm having them almost everyday. Nothing big happens but the next day/days the little things come true like a guy asking for my number or seeing a person I haven't seen in a long time. But they are starting to get more and more big. A few weeks ago I dreamed that my friend's boyfriend was going to break up with her, but she was carrying balloons. The next day was their anniversary and he gave her balloons...but the day after that he broke up with her. And just yesterday I dreamt that the teacher canceled a trip that was scheduled for today( which I wasn't attending by the way) and today it cam true. It's the little things like that which are coming true. I keep thinking they are coincidences but I have come to realize they are not. I would like to know if there is some way that I can "enhance" the dreams so that I "see" more, or if they just come naturally? If anyone knows please tell me so that we can contact each other? I would really like to contact someone who I can share my experiences with! Thanks!

I am really concerned I just predicted something really quite out of the blue and it happened to the T! I am really scared as this is not the 1st time it has happened. My name also means prophetess does it make me a special or evil? It was not a bad thing that happened but are humans supposed to have this ability??

okay so once i had this huge elaborate dream about the boy i liked and it was alot like the little mermaid and everything it's hard to describe everything that happened in it, but we were married, (one point in particular we watched the sunset with his arm around me and everything was perfect), then my cousin stole him away from me, he couldnt remember that we were married, and i locked myself in a bathroom and cried, then i came out , things were awkward between us and we were coloring, then he looked out the window and said "remember that sunset?" - it was soooo epic and i remember like every detail of it
anyway, my point is, it kind of correlates with what has happened between us since that dream. we always flirted, we were bestfriends, he put his arm around me all the time, then suddenly we didnt talk like at all for 2 years. then this year, my cousin developed a huge crush on him because they were in classes together, and then he joined the play and was flirting with me and told me that he liked me.
sooooooooooooooooo weird

oh and i also used to be in love with this kid and saw him everyday, but then i never saw him for like a year, and randomly i had a dream that he called me and invited me to meet him for coffee.
then i had another dream in the middle of never seeing him for a year and not even thinking about him where my dad invited him to my birthday party as my date

this year he came back into my life out of NOWHERE and asked to catch up . he told me he had always wanted to be with me but had been too shy. its so weird its like my dreams knew he'd be back

This was probably my most memorable dream because 3 years later the dream became real and i was suprised on how long it took and i have wondered is it possible if you change the precognition would the real world change too?
I had just had a precognition today and whenever i see the precognition i feel this strong spirit presence among me or like that my vision for a little bit becomes 3rd person and i watching over myself, this only happens for a few seconds
is this normal for precognitions?

Hi my dreaming started when i was about 5 years old i can not controle it. it only happens when it wants to happen by it's self. and when a dream precognition happens all my hairs stand on end and i feel a weard feeling all through my body i thaught there was somthing wrong with me when the dreams came true. about five years a go i met a girl on holiday in my local town that night i had a precognition dream about here this is how the dream went.
she was in a hallway siting in a ball under some big pipes an she was scared there was a bloke just around the corner he had a red bandana on his head covering his hair like a biker the girl was crying but i could not hear any sound at all i went to here and knealed in front of here slowley reached out my hand to here she started to reach for my hand then pulled back real fast and curled tighter in to a ball then i said to here im here to help and protect you please trust me )"i could not here this ever ") then i reached even closer to here she finley after a while reached out and took my hand with a real tight grip i slowley lifted here out from the pipes the i walked here up the hallway then the dream ended.
i found out later that she just got out of a bad relationship
and i asked here if here EX had a red bandana she said no but his Brother all ways had one on his head and then she went verry quiet i knew somthing was wrong i asked if he was giving here a bad time she said yes then the weard feeling came all over my body some how i knew this bloke was doing things to here.
shortley after we started dating she went back to the city.
after a week i asked here to come back to the country to pick me up to go to the city and stay with here the first hight in the city i woke up and went to here room and found here curled up in to a ball in the corner of the room with a big knife.
the next morning i said to here we have to talk that is when i found out that here EX'S Brother was breaking in to here flat and tying here up and gaging here before he done things to here.
two days later the Brother turned up at the flat he looked like a bikey with the red bandana over his head i went out to the front gate and told him to go or i would tell the cops what he has done to here and i told him if he came back he would not leave alive.
This is only one of my precognition Dream's that were True.
i have married the girl and we have a 3 year old son now.
i have had future precognition Dream's as well and i have had some one say somthing in there head and i repeted back to them what thay have said.and thay told me i was not natural or human.
this makes me think that im not well so i have started taking meds to stop the precognition Dream's that come true.
it is not right for me to be able to see in to the future and here what people are thinking you can change people's Future.
some people will disagree with me and some will agree with me.
i am so afraid to let any one know what i can do.
my wife tells me it is natural for some one to be able to do this
she said she use to think this kind of thing was fake till she met me now she believes in it.
can some one Please tell me why this happens to me

Does anyone know how to make them stop? Everything that turns out to be "prophetic" or "precognitive' is bad...and it always happens exactly the way the dream says. They usually come 2-3 days before the event happens. I just want them to go away.

It nice to see other people have the same thing I have! I have been having dreams for years now since high schools, I think my friends must be tired of me saying i had a dream last night! lol, but my dreams are precog not ust for me, but for other people. I will have a dream 2 years before something will happen. and when it happens it will happen on exactly that day. Once i had a dream where i was working along a road that was going to be where new job was. Althought i knew the road but didnt know there was a school on the road. i was taken to the school where i would teach and was shown the salary and activities the kids did. even a few names of kids i would later teach. and this was 4 months before the job was even advertised. so naturally when i saw the job ad i applied cause i knew it was my dream. also the other thing i have is that when i watching tv, they always say the same words as me that i am thinkin at the same time. it wont just be a common word but an actual phrase exactly like around the same time, it could even be the news in the background that im not watching and we are thinking and tlaking about 2 completely different things. i was just wondering if anyone else has this experience as well,

i have had a dream that i die in the dream each time i different way .... there is alot of confrontation in my dream, my problem is i feel very anxious quite and during the day i feel like sleeping , uneasy and i worry but i cannot pin down what the worry is about. I have had only 1 dream before where exactly what happened in my dream happened the next day in reality like a kind of de ja vu feeling yet i could not change what was happening when it happened it was like as soon as i realized this was in my dream my actions followed and it felt like de ja vu.... my only problem is this time i feel very uneasy tired and quiet as if I dont want to speak almost as if i need to close my eyes and concentrate because there is a message i need to kind of meditate out of my head and the message is seemingly very important... as if i need work on this kind of dream skill as if it will become important to me

I have fragmented dreams with people I haven't met in places I've never been and it could take weeks or years, but it does happen. It comes back as a dejavu-like feeling, and I remember waking up years earlier(or however long) thinking "wtf was that?". The way I feel at the time, events and colors, etc, it's all the same. It's happened twice this past weekend, feel like I'm going insane.

Hi, my name is Kristin. I'm 28 and a mom to 3 little ones. I've been having dreams since I was a little girl that would predict the future to some extent. In elementary it was dreaming of what people would wear to school and the next day their wearing what I dreamed. throughout the years its been dreaming of someone I haven't seen in ages and then the next day that person shows up somewhere or calls out of nowhere. Here in the last year I've had dreams of friends being pregnant and then calling them the next day and them laughing and saying how did you know. The best instance was a friend that was recently remarried and had had her tubes tied. I hadn't spoken to her in about 6 months, I had this dream she was pregnant and laying in her bed hooked up to an IV. I called her the next morning and left her a voicemail and told her she would probably think I was crazy and told her what I had dreamed. She called back about 10 minutes later saying I must be psychic b/c she was in the bathroom puking when I had called. The crazy part.....her husband is a firefighter and she had been throwing up so much that he had come home from work early and hooked her up to an IV in the bed b/c she was dehydrated. I almost passed out when she told me that. Its happened twice since then with 2 other of my friends. One last night actually. I just dreamed she was pregnant, that was it. I talked to her husband this morning and he said they sat in bed last night talking about how she was 4 days "late". Just wanting some more info on all of this and what it means. I have alot of "bad dreams" too and i'm just scared some of those might come true too. Any help and advice would be wonderful. Please e-mail me at Kristinw0821@gmail.com

Hello, My name is Maya. I am 14 and i have been having really weird dreams lately and they have been coming true possibly the next day. Well anwayz when i was about 5 i had the most strangest dreams and when i wake up they come true and i always end up seeing really strange things like shadows of things and figures of people which i couldn't explain. And i would pretty much keep seeing things i couldn't explain to anybody I kept trying to explain to to my parents, but they wouldn't believe me they thought i was just kidding and i'm going crazy. A couple years after that when i was 8 i had the same experiance, but this time i pretty much saw into the future to when i was 10 myself and my dad went to a soccer game and my dad became really drunk so i wanted to go home and we ended up getting lost and when we were walkin across the road there were cars coming really fast and i saved his life and pushed him out of the way. And i really didn't know what that meant. And now i keep experiancing these things. So if you would help me out with these strange things that would be alot of help. Thanks!

hi my name is tasha. i have had dreams like this that ended up happening. the first one i ever had was about scott peterson (the man who murdered his pregnant wife) i dreamed that 2 years before it happened i could tell u everything about that murder. the next dream was about this ederly man who lived in the nursing home where my mom works. i had become attached to him and one night i dreamed he died from a massive heart attack. at the time my sister was also working at the nursing home and she had to work the day after the dream. she called me and my mom that morning crying because he died from a heart attack. and here is the dream that i wish never happened. on the night of february 11, 2006 i spent my very last moments with my niece. that night i went to bed feeling like something wasnt right and i dreamed that my niece passed away. sure enough that morning around 6 30 i woke up expecting the call but hoping and prayin we didnt get it but at 7 in the morning on february 12, 2006 we got a call from my sister telling us my niece had passed away she was only 16 days old. as u can see my dreams r never good and only happen if someone is going to die.

Hello, my name is Kori and im 15 years old. Ive also had pregonatative dreams. Typically, the dreams start out as little things (vivid visions of something happening) like dropping a glass of water and it shattering. Then it happens the next day. As time goes on and nights go by the dreams get more vivid and have more important events taking place. Ive had some really creepy dreams, and really creepy experiences that are exactly like the dreams. I want to know why...and how this occurs. If anyone can help me in this quest for answers..please, reply. thank you.

Then I wake up and I'm still angry. Then a week later it happened JUST like in my dream. It was then I relized that there was no dout about what i'v been dreaming.

My name is Eric Im 26 years old and I live in Florida. Ive been having vivid Precog dreams for as long as I can remember. The last 2 years however my dreams have concentrated on 1 thing, and only 1 thing. The end of the world as we know it, and my role in this history making event. My dreams consist of how this event will affect me phisicaly and mentaly. They tell me that it is preparation for what is to come. My ex-girlfriend would have to wake me up on severel occasions because she would complain of me talking in a differant language that i dont know how to speak, or screaming because i am covered in blood. I cant take much mor of this. Am I crazy or can anyone help me? Please e-mail me at ezlee@live.com if you can.

My Dream Experiences. I do not tend to dream a lot. I seldom have dreams. But when I do have a dream, it is usually of some boring and out of the ordinary situation. A situation, or personal happening, I would not have done on a daily basis or done in the past. I would then wake up and say, "wow, that was a strange dream." These dreams do not have any major consequence or event. For example, I had a dream that I was laying on the carpeted floor, looking through a photo album, of a co-worker, from a different dept, who I occasionally know. This co-worker is just a person I say, "hi" to as I walk around. A few weeks later, out of the blue, this co-worker invited me over for diner. And wouldn't you know it, I found myself laying on his carpeted floor looking at photo albums. I experience these "events" a lot. But they are not events of consequence, they are just out of the ordianry events.

My friend really scared me today. As I was telling her that when I daydream I predict the future (really, I do!), she told me she predicts the future in her dreams. But it isn't NORMAL. She has these dreams all the time, and often they frighten her. For example, earlier today she was looking at a deer footprint, and I asked, "What is that?" and she froze. She told me she was dreaming that she was looking at a deer footprint with a friend, and the friend asked "What is that?" and she told her, then a car pulled up. People got out and began to SHOOT. I was terrified that it would really happen. She told me that almost every one of her dreams come true. Luckily, the shooting did NOT happen. But, a little more about my subconscious: I found this out yesterday while in the car. I was playing with my DS and I was trying to predict the kind of acorns I would find at the next tree. There were 3 acorns at each tree, and there were 5 different kinds of acorns. So I kind of daydreamed about the next acorns I'd find. And I went to a random tree and... found the acorns I predicted. Also, I was thinking about what the next Speed Limit sign would be, and I got it right. Another thing is I daydream about songs and the songs are so clear I think I hear them in real life, but I don't. Anyway, there were two songs that I daydreamed, and came on the radio a while later. One last thing is I was riding my bike with that one friend, thinking about a red tree that would catch my eye. And... the next tree that caught my eye was RED. Does anyone else daydream the future?

Hi all,

So I have reoccurring dreams about the end of the world. Or perhaps it is not the end, just different cataclysmic events leading unto it's end.

Each of the dreams happen in different places, with different people. I have seen asteroids shooting from the sky, tornadoes surrounding neighborhoods, I've seen fire obliterate houses. Most of them have been very distinct and graphic.

I also find that I sometimes have dreams about near death experiences. Within a recent night, I was with a group of people, very large, from the church I go to. It was a youth group outing at place (though not known where), that was filled with fun. Almost like an amusement park. However, while at this place, the group went into a large barn-like structure. While we are walking within this barn-like structure, the floor starts to break. I run as ast as I can to rescue someone who was about to fall through the cracks. We jump out into blackness. Within the dream it catapults me into the future and on the news it describes that 362 people were killed in a fire in this barn.

All those being said, I certainly believe dreams do play a part in our world. I recognizethat men of old have also had dreams concerning the end of the world. Others have had visions of what is to come. One recollection is the book of Revelation (or apocalypse) in the bible. My first dreams draw parallel lines to the description of events in Revelation.

Now for the second dream, I ate really bad food prior to sleeping. I have noticed a direct correlation to how I eat and how/what I dream.

I might also make mention that wireless Internet, and 3G Internet both pass through or minds. I play guitar, and my amp picks up radio signals, it sounds before my cell phone does when someone is calling. Perhaps our brain is a receptacle for far more than we realize.

I can't believe I read this entire thing, but... I did. (I have no life lol) I too have had precognitive dreams. However I'm not sure if they are daydreams or dreams. I know that sounds weird, but I don't remember when I have the visons. Like when you dream, wakeup and think that you didn't have a dream, then an hour later randomly remember having a dream and what happened... Yeah I can't explain things well. ANYWAY... sometimes I will a random place in extremem detail, othertimes it's a conversation, normally nothing haunting or depressing, really...random. The most reacent event was when I went to a friends party at a hotel, I was being led to the bathroom and had to pass through another room. I emediatly recognized how familiar the room was and then to make sure I wasn't nuts, went into the cornor of the room and looked at it. That image was the exact image I had seen before, same lighting end everything. I was frightened and emediatly scared by this. But when I told my mother she not only understood, but said she has similar instances. And I've read some of the other messages saying that relatives seem to be having the same instances. So maybe this is a passed down trait or something. It's not too weird of a theory, often when born children will get similar traits from the parents. Ranging from their hair color to personality. Just a theory, I am also 16 btw. So perhaps, as others have posted, maybe age plays a role too.

I have had 1 fully documented 100% accurate dream a few moths back and poste dit on several related forums and have been directed to Precognitive Dreams. Thus, here I am. Note; I have also been looking at clocks at 11:11 (mostly, 10yrs or so) , 12:34, 2:22, 3:33, etc... and also feel a presence in my home. I will swear that when I wash dishes there IS someone watching me and my body hair will stand on end. I have the exact feeling in my laundry room when i urinate in the sink and also in my living room when watching TV. My mom has always claimed to not believe in this sort of stuff yet tells me she used to dream about stuff when she was in school and it happened top her.

Hi I'm Dan, I'm 15 now.

I need to know how to enhance my precognitive abilities.

Also who has noticed that most peoples dreams start when they are 3 or 8.

Mine started when i was 3
I witnessed my Nan dieing in her amchair and slowly falling on to the floor with her tongue hanging out of her mouth and her eyes rolled back.
since then i haven't had too many dreams like that.
Apart from recently when a car comes flying at me and just before it hit me i woke up with my whole body shaking.

"Repetitive dreams, extremely detailed dreams, or sometimes the visualizations of a clock or calendar within the dream have been reported by persons who have had precognitive dreams."

-Woah! That's me! I am 21 y.o. and since i was 6 or 7 and until now that's me! Can someone help me about this dreams?

Also, I always consult to a friend who can interpret dreams, and the way he interpreted it, that's what really happened. But since i moved to another place, i don't have contact with him so now i am looking for someone who can interpret my dreams...

help me please! contact me if you want: edwardsangilblogger@gmail.com

Thanks!

Ok, I'm 18 and I think I may have precognitive dreams. About 4 years ago, my parents had bought a Parrot. Well I had had a repeating dream about ghosts and birds' ghosts for three nights until on the fourth day our parrot had passed away. Another similar experience happened not to long after. In that case I had a dream about some relatives having an accident while riding a four-wheeler. Sure enough, the next day my aunt and cousin had an accident while riding a four-wheeler at my uncle's ranch. No one was hurt, but it did scare us. Just recently my brother and I had an accident while driving on an icy road. I can't remember what my dream was about on the night before the accident, but I do recall feeling really tired, depressed, and worried on that day. Just before leaving the house, I felt a very strong urge to just stay home but I ignored it and left to go fix what I needed to fix. I probably should have listened to that strong urge. If anyone has any advice as to what I really may be experiencing, or on how to tell if a dream is trying to tell me something, I will appreciate it.

Ok well i believe in the ability to dream the future i do it, i had a dream that my grandma's house burnt down 3days later it did and there was a whole under the house a portal to hell kinda thing my dad found the whole a few days ago after the house burnt, my others have been of sick family members i dreamt my dad and grandma had heart problems and they went to get checked and my dream was right both suffer from heart problems now. I also had a dream it would snow in spring but only for a bit then the sun would come out, its doing now as i type. I told my mom about these dreams and family members so they also know they come true, Now im not the religious type but my dreams have been about the distruction of the earth lately but its up to us to stop fighting for god's to make the choice if we continue or not. The thing that acually scares me is i never read the bible yet i get told in my dreams to read verses like with the house on fire i was told to read a certain part in the bible my grandma and i looked it up and it was about fire! I dont know to accept this ability or try to ignore it, its not one dream that's come true its many. I kinda wanna know why and do want them to continue but then I have bad ones that are beyond scary and even make it hard for me to fall asleep do to the fact I dont shut down right my brain makes it to where I dont know im asleep. If i get hurt in the dream I feel the pain. Idk what to do cuz its not something ppl would exactly want after the things i see or go threw. I wish someone could help me. my names Tracy Clanton i dont get on the net often life is more then enough to deal with then this computer stuff but my facebook is linked to phone, dont bother me unless you can help me understand why and how to deal with this, thanks

Hi, I'm Chris and I am 15. Ever since I turned 12 I've been having really realistic dreams. Usually i can feel and hear everything that is happening in the dream, but it usually ends with me falling or dying. Each dream it gets a little worse. I've been searching for answers but have been unable to find any. If anyone has any helpful information feel free to email me at langstonb1@yahoo.com

Recently, a lot of my dreams have been coming true. I don't dream much about major events though. Around the time of Father's day I dreamed of walking through a store with racks of clothing on the sides, there was a colorful sign that said "Happy Father's Day!" in the front next to the Father's day cards. The next day we went shopping and I saw the exact same things in the store, every detail was the same! I also had a dream about having a baby brother once, it came true later. Are all of my dreams just coincidences?

I've been dreaming for years, but a few months ago was the first time I experienced actually being there in the dream. I can remember every detail still today and I think due to the intensity and violent event of the dream I will never forget. It went in an exact perfect sequence. I could feel the breeze, I can remember the sun making me squint my eyes. I was paying attention to all the details for some reason. Things like details of the vehicle involved, from the make and model to the seats and color of tint on the window. Particular things about the other person who was the bad person like the pink scrunchie that pulled back her long dreds to her stretch pants, a dog she had in the front leather bench seat, the details on the gun that was involved which was such a shiny metal that it made a quick gleam in the sunlight but then I remember concentrating on the barrel of the gun where the bullet comes out. Which I remember thinking in the dream a split second before I saw the gun that something bad was getting ready to happen, Its like when I knew the bad was coming, the dream almost went in slow motion as the gun showed itself till the gun went off and then it went back to normal speed. It involved a gun shot that was so loud it made me jump in real life which semi-woke me making me realize for a second that I was in a dream, but then immediately returned into the dream. My mom was shot in the neck and I knew she had been hit before she released an ear piercing scream that went straight through my eardrums, because I felt her blood hit my face and the she immediately grabbed her neck, which felt cold by the time it reached my skin, some of it feeling like a mist while some of it felt like heavier drops of blood. It was stuck in my head for days after to where I was afraid to go to sleep.

Hello all, I have been having dreams since I was little, now 26. I will dream something that is completely random in a setting I am unfamiliar with, people I don't know......a couple years down the road the exact dream will happen. I will be standing in the certain situations and the dream will occur.....I will know the faces and recall the dream and know what these people are going to say before they speak. I find myself looking around, realizing that I've dreamt this and then look at the people and know what they are going to say before they speak. I know this all sounds crazy, and it doesn't happen that often probably once a year. But this last time I actually looked at the person that was speaking and said what they were going to say before they spoke. I just want to know what I should do about this....and how do I know a couple years in advance through a dream what these people are going to say at a given moment when they don't even know. Everytime this happens I try to ignore it because I can't wrap my brain around whats really going on..........Anyone out there, please if you have any thoughts on this or if I should just ignore it all together please tell me.
Thanks
Vanessa

Hi my name is Ally, I'm 25 years old. I had my first experience when I was 10 years old. It was one year exactly after my one grandma died. The dream felt real and so clear. We were flying over a field of tigerlillies and roses, the was a random lighthouse, and she was in a pink dress. I barely knew my grandma and I didn't remember the funeral. I told my mom about the dream and she said that all of those things were my grandma's favorite things since she was little. The next time I was 15 years old when my pop passed away. I was at work with my step-dad and at 11:02am I pretty much fell down and felt sick to my stomach and couldn't catch my breath for a little bit. Five mins later I felt fine, like it never happened. I got home at 3:30pm to find my family crying cuz my pop died at 11:03am. The next two times were about my first love and my nana. Both times I dreamed of a death of someone close to me about a week before it happened. I knew I had the gift but didn't know what it was til now. Thanks

hi im 22 and iv had premonitions my entire life since i was very little and altho wen i was little it wasnt apparent one day i realised that my dreams where the conection , and for a while i would get dejavu , not for simple dreams tho iv had full and complete adhearent conversations in my dreams which then a few days later come true its weird cos there not basic conversations there in depth and personal things i couldnt just dream up , iv never taken it as a bad thing tho , my theory is that precognition is part of human evolution and that a large portion of the subconcious brain and unused parts control this "ability" altho i have never been able to control it in any way

I am also a person that has dreams that some come true, I had dreamed about a plane or it looked more like a different type of craft had crashed. And I woke up,my mother turned on the t.v It was the news talking about the space shuttle that had blew up coming back and I was shocked. So I've had on and off dreams that do or don't come true. But my most recent dream I wanted to say because I don't want it to come true and can maybe prevent it. It was about a plane blowing up in or around a time of celebration say Christmas or new years .But it wasn't any ordinary plane, I had a clear vision it was air force one! And both president and vice president where in the plane. I pray this does not happen !
